One of the highlights of visiting the Amon Carter Museum of American Art is getting to view pieces from Frederic Remington and Charles M. Russell. Two of the old west's most successful artists. As the museum owns over 400 works of art by Remington and Russell, you'll be able to view drawings, prints, oils, and sculptures that span Remington and Russell's lifetimes. If you explore the Remington and Russell Gallery, you'll get to see The Broncho Buster, which was Remington's first bronze sculpture. As well as Medicine Man, a depiction of a Blackfeet shaman which was painted by Russell. Who had an affinity with Native American culture.

Take a tour of the Carter Collection:

The Carter Collection features a mix of artwork from different time periods and showcases old daguerrotypes of the Mexican-American war which took place between 1847-1848 alongside contemporary art installations. Guided tours of the Carter Collection take place at 2 pm on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
